Impermanence

The practice of being aware of Impermanence means to continuously be aware that everything in our lives, the harmful and the beneficial, the things that make us feel good and the things that make us feel bad, are all impermanent. This awareness allows us to ease much suffering in our lives. When you are experiencing pain or sadness, you know that they are not permanent. When you are experiencing being in love or having financial success, it will help to be aware of their impermanence so that when they end, you will not have to adapt to a new lifestyle, because you were adapted all along.
